KUCHING: The state police’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) welcomed their new chief ACP Zulfikar Mohd Ghazali at their contingent headquarters today (Feb 10).
Zulfikar took over the post from SAC Mat Zani@Mohd Salahuddin Che Ali who has been appointed Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (Intelligence/International Relations) principal assistant director.
Mat Zani, who served as Sarawak CID chief for two-and-a-half months since November, handed over the post to Zulfikar, who previously served as the department’s deputy chief.
The handover ceremony was witnessed by the Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Aidi Ismail.
Also present at the ceremony was Sarawak Deputy Police Commissioner Datuk Fisol Salleh and state police contingent headquarters head of departments.
