SIBU: A total of 111 farmers have received agricultural assistance through the Program Sayangi Lanang: Bantuan Agro Madani organised by the P211 Lanang Service Centre here on Saturday.
Lanang Member of Parliament Alice Lau said that the assistance is aimed at alleviating the burden of farmers in the Lanang Parliamentary constituency.
“A total of 111 farmers from the Salim, Durin, and Sg. Pak areas have received agricultural assistance for the fourth phase this time.
“This assistance is provided to those involved in the cultivation of fruits and vegetables in the Lanang area,” she said on her Facebook post today.
Lau, who is also the Deputy Speaker of Dewan Rakyat, said that her service centre has distributed fertilisers and insecticides to farmers in the area.
“I hope this initiative can help lighten their burden. At the same time, it is also hoped that their cultivation efforts can contribute to further improving their income and economy,” she added.
