KUCHING: Twelve foreign women at a reflexology centre in MJC, Batu Kawa, were arrested during a raid at around 2pm last Monday (Jan 25).

Padawan police chief Supt Aidil Bolhassan said the premises was found to be operating secretly.

Earlier, the raiding team found the premises’ entrances locked. The back door was later opened by the premises’ keeper.

“The team entered the premises and found 11 foreign women in a room, believed to be waiting for customers.

“Further inspections found that the karaoke room at the back of the premises did not have an entertainment licence,” he said.

All the 12 women, aged 28 to 54, including the premises keeper who was also a foreign woman, were found to be violating the conditional movement control order (CMCO) under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures Within the Infected Local Areas) Regulations 2021.

Aidil said the women were taken to the police station for further action.
