MIRI: About 38 educational, religious, and social groups received a combined total of RM280,500 in the form of the Minor Projects Fund (MRP) on Saturday.

Senadin assemblyman, Datuk Sri Lee Kim Shin, who handed over the funds, said that the contributions are meant to assist these organisations with their initiatives, which can further enhance or support existing government programmes.

The presentation ceremony took place at the Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) office in Senadin.

Lee hoped that the beneficiary associations will utilise the funds to roll out educational, charitable, and community-focused projects soon. It’s noteworthy that a portion of the funds allocated to religious groups is earmarked for infrastructure expansion.
