KUCHING: A total of 459 individuals were rounded up in anti-narcotics operations lasting three months in the district.

Kuching district police chief ACP Ashmon Bajah said the operations from September to November involved 424 cases.

The team detained 17 to 58 year-old locals for engaging in drug activities.

“Also seized were methamphetamine weighing about 827.29 grams, ketamine (1012.91 grams), marijuana (8.16 grams), 11 ecstasy pills, 610 Erimin pills and 814 nospan pills.

“The total seizure is estimated to be valued at RM194,401,” he said.

The breakdown of the cases investigated were five cases under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1052; two cases under Section 39A(2), eight cases under Section 39A(1), 54 cases under Section 12(2), one case under Section 6, and 349 cases under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
