KUCHING: A 66-year-old woman who lost control of her car along Jalan Tengah here around 3.30 pm yesterday knocked her vehicle against an electric pole before crashing into a tree by the roadside.
At the time of the accident, it was raining heavily.
In the process of hitting the electric pole and the tree, the car had also collided with another car driven by a policeman. Both drivers sustained minor injuries but the two vehicles were entangled in the cables that fell down the road.
Head of Sarawak Enforcement and Investigation Traffic, Supt Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed the case and said a summons had been issued to the woman driver.
