KUCHING: Four people were injured after the car they were travelling in went out of control and crashed into a ditch at Jalan Batu Kitang, Mile 8 ½ here on Monday (June 29).
The State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) despatched a team of firefighters of Batu Lintang Fire and Rescue Station to the scene after receiving an emergency call on the 12.22am incident.
Upon arrival, the car was found turned turtle in the ditch with one of the victims trapped inside while the other three managed to get out of the vehicle on their own.
The trapped victim was then extricated by the firefighters before being handed over to the Bomba emergency medical rescue services (EMRS) unit for early treatment.
All four victims were taken to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further treatment.
