MIRI: Flash floods hit several areas in the city centre here due to heavy downpours on Wednesday afternoon (Sept 2).
Amongst areas that were reportedly being inundated by floods were Krokop, Miri Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) station along Jalan Miri-Pujut and its surrounding areas, disclosed Zone 6 fire chief Supt Law Poh Kiong.
A brief survey to the scene later in the afternoon showed that the roads around the area were flooded, but still passable to motorists.
Fortunately, the flash floods in that area subsided by 4pm.
