KUCHING: The ‘My Malaysia Day: Diary of an Artist’ exhibition is being held at the State Library in conjunction with Malaysia Day celebrated on Sept 16.

This exhibition will run until Sept 25 and is on display at Level 1 of the library.

The exhibition, which is jointly organised by Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas), Kuching City North Commission (DBKU), and the State Library, gathers local artists to present their works that indicate their self-identity as Malaysians who are loyal to their beloved homeland.

There are more than 30 exhibits featuring paintings, drawings, mixed media, new genres, interdisciplinary studio as well as ceramics and sculptures.

The gallery hours will be from 10am to 7pm for Monday to Friday, and from 9am to 6pm for Saturday and Sunday.

Members of the public, especially art enthusiasts, are welcome to visit the gallery.

The library also urges visitors to always comply with the standard operating procedures that have been outlined by the Ministry of Health.
