MUKAH: A total of 10 organisations here received minor rural projects (MRP) grant totalling RM145,000 on Wednesday (Oct 21).
The recipients included six village development and security committees (JKKKs), three parent-teacher associations (PTAs) as well as a sport and recreation club committee.
Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo handed over the financial assistance to the recipients at a handover ceremony at Tellian State constituency Service Centre here.
At the ceremony, the former Balingian assemblyman also handed over education incentives to 10 students, who had been accepted to further their studies at local institutions of higher learning.
Yussibnosh advised the recipients to fully utilise the government grant for mutual benefits.
He also advised the students to study hard in order to succeed and make their parents proud plus ensuring a better future for the family.
