MIRI: A 24-year-old man was arrested for his alleged involvement in a recent break-in at the Democratic Action Party (DAP) Miri Pujut service centre.

The arrest was made at Pujut Tanjong Batu here by a team of Miri Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel following a public tip-off.

The team also recovered a stereo speaker believed to have been stolen.

The suspect is being detained at Miri Central Police station (CPS) for questioning.

The discovery was made last Monday (Oct 26) around 10am by DAP Miri youth chief Peter Hii.

Several items including RM20 cash, a laptop bag and stereo speaker were missing.
