BAU: Always on the lookout for the vulnerable, Kembara Khalifah Organisation and Beloya2U yesterday handed over 20 packages of dry food and rice to Masjid Darul Iman here for distribution to the needy.

The person in charge of Kembara Khalifah’s welfare bureau, Dayangku Kamallia Awang Tambi, said the donated food was meant to alleviate the burden of the poor especially the local Muslim converts.

“We give priority to the converts in the local village; help them while also strengthening relations between them and us,” she said yesterday after presenting the food items.

Dayangku Kamallia went on to say that her organisation was always looking to assist people in need including distributing donations to tahfiz schools that were short of food.

“In view of the coming Aidilfitri, we bought new clothes for the tahfiz girls. No matter who is in need, we will help,” she said.

Donations were also made to Bau district police, Kampung Binyu and Kampung Sikog.
