KUCHING: National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) coordinating minister Khairy Jamaluddin visited the vaccination centre at Stadium Perpaduan, Petra Jaya here, yesterday.

The purpose of the visit was to inspect the procedure in each checkpoint from check-in, registration, vaccination, observation, and appointments.

During his one-hour visit, he took the opportunity to talk with the staff as well as the elderly who were there for their vaccination.

Khairy was accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Douglas Uggah Embas who is also the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman, as well as Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian, during his visit at the centre.

The second phase of PICK is said to target a total of 929,435 individuals; namely those with comorbidities and senior citizens aged 60 years and above which was started on April 19 in Sibu, followed by other districts on April 23 onwards.
