SERIAN: Tebedu assemblyman Dr Simon Sinang Bada has proposed for a laboratory to be set up and more agricultural roads to be built here.
According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) in a news report on Friday (Jan 14), the three agencies namely, the Serian Resident Office, Public Works Department (JKR) and Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) Sarawak have supported Dr Simon’s efforts in advancing development in the area.
In the meeting, Dr Simon said that the proposed laboratory will include the education bureau, welfare bureau, infrastructure development bureau and economic development bureau.
On the plan to increase the construction of agricultural roads, he said that the aim was to improve the living standard of the rural people by opening up the area to enable modern and sustainable agricultural activities to be carried out.
Earlier, Dr Simon also had the opportunity to listen to the briefings from JKR and DID engineers on several projects which have been completed and being implemented for 2021.
