In view of this, Tanjong Manis MP Yusuf Abdul Wahab said that the issue voiced out will be brought to a higher level and at the same time to work with Kuala Rajang assemblyman Datuk Len Talif Salleh.

“One of them is the upgrading of the fishing jetty which was listed before the 15th general election (GE15), to be re-examined.

Earlier today Yusuf attended the leaders with the people programme at Kampung Bukit Kinyau Community Hall.

On the issue of clean water supply, he said the matter has received the attention of Utility and Telecommunication Minister Datuk Julaihi Narawi during the latter’s visit to the Tanjung Manis Water Treatment Plant on Saturday (Feb 4).

“Once all these projects mentioned have been implemented, then the socioeconomic of the locals in Kampung Bukit Kinyau will be improved and the area will be able to be developed and not be left behind,” he said.

However, he added, all these projects require time and large allocations.

“Therefore, it is hoped that people will understand and be patient on the process that needs to go through before the implementation of the projects,” said Yusuf.
