BY NUR FARIHAN RAZALI

MUKAH: Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kampung Sawai Daro here recently organised a Student Leadership Camp Programme, coupled with an educational tour to Mukah Polytechnic (PMU).

The event saw participation from 26 pupils, guided by six dedicated teachers, under the leadership of senior school assistant Zharif Gahzali. The student group comprised various roles, including school prefects and class leaders.

“The goal is to nurture self-awareness in leadership roles for each assigned task.

“It’s also about instilling confidence in leading organisations and providing exposure to proper etiquette as travellers,” said Rosina Tomick, one of the accompanying teachers.

She further emphasised the camp’s focus on instilling values like environmental care, cleanliness, and a sense of responsibility towards preserving and maintaining the environment.

“This exposure is crucial in building trust and confidence among students, shaping them into leaders who contribute positively to both academic and personal development,” Rosina added.

During their visit to PMU, the pupils explored various departments, including Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering, gaining insights into different academic fields.
