SAMARAHAN: Simunjan assemblyman Awla Dris has allocated RM200,00 for the construction of a new community hall for the residents of Kampung Terasi Iban.
Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) in a news report today said the allocation for the project has been approved and construction will be implemented in the near future.
“Kampung Sungai Bundong Iban already has a hall but there’s none yet for Kampung Terasi Iban. Nevertheless, the residents of Kampung Terasi Iban do not have to worry because the allocation has been approved.”
“Once it is completed, villagers can conduct more gatherings and events there. Kampung Sungai Bundong Iban villagers can also use the hall,” he said at the Majlis Ngiling Bidai Gawai Dayak at Dewan Kampung Sungai Bundong, Sadong Jaya, recently.
Awla added that he was very proud of the efforts shown by the residents of Kampung Sungai BundongIban and Kampung Terasi Iban which maintained unity to hold a ceremony for the two villages.
