LIMBANG: Villagers from Kampung Seberang Kedai will soon be connected with a new road to Bukit Lubok here once its construction is complete in early 2022.

According to Regional Corridor Development Authority (RCDA) in a Facebook post on Monday, with machineries and manpower already been deployed to the site, construction work on this 3.7km road is currently at its preliminary stage with activity involving site clearing taking place.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, who is also the chairman of Northern Region Development Agency (NRDA), performed a simple ground breaking ceremony at the site on the same day.

Also present were chief executive officer of Regional Corridor Development Authority (Recoda) Datuk Ismawi Ismuni and NRDA director Datuk Ubaidillah Abdul Latip.

The road project is one of the 165 projects under NRDA, an agency under Recoda, covering areas from Limbang to Lawas and also includes other projects like water supply and electrical, riverine structure and drainage, buildings, recreational facilities and an airport.
