KUCHING: The National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) will organise a special visitation session for families or guardians of AADK clients undergoing the In-Centre Treatment and Recovery Programmes (RPDI) at all 30 Narcotic Addiction Recovery Centres (PUSPEN) nationwide.

The family visitation session, in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri, will take place from April 15 to 19 at PUSPEN locations in Pahang, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Selangor, Federal Territories, Perak, Penang, Perlis, Sabah and Sarawak. Additionally, it will run from April 14 to 18 at PUSPEN centres in Kelantan, Terengganu, Johor and Kedah.

“The purpose of these family visits is to strengthen the bond between clients and their families, provide moral and emotional support, and allow families to witness the progress of clients undergoing the AADK RPDI programme,” according to a statement on today (April 1).

Family visits also offer an opportunity for families or guardians and clients to interact intimately, serving as a therapeutic approach to support the clients’ recovery.
