Abang Johari holds meeting with GPS MPs

KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg attended a meeting with Members of Parliament (MPs) from the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday (Oct 8).

Deputy Prime Minister and Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) senior vice president Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof was among those present at the meeting.

“Attending the meeting of GPS MPs with Premier (GPS chairman) in Kuala Lumpur tonight (Oct 8).

“This meeting is a routine event for GPS MPs before the Dewan Rakyat session starts,” Fadillah said in a Facebook post.

GPS, which comprises PBB, Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP), Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) and Progressive Democratic Party (PDP), has 23 MPs. The party is a component of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s Unity Government.

Meanwhile, the third meeting of the Dewan Rakyat commenced on Oct 9 and will continue until November 27.
