Newly elected Sarawak Skills Management Council Members for the 2023-2026 term.

KUCHING: Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr Abdul Aziz Husain has been re-elected as the chairman of the Sarawak Skills Management Council for the term 2023-2026 on Aug 14.
The newly elected council also includes the appointments of Vice Chairman I (Petronas Sarawak), Vice Chairman II (Sarawak Energy Berhad), Vice Chairman III (Hornbill Skyways Sdn Bhd), Secretary (Datuk Maznah Dasmi), and Treasurer (Hizone Sdn Bhd). Several other organisations have also been elected as members of the Sarawak Skills Management Council.
In his speech, Abdul Aziz expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and emphasised the importance of collaboration among stakeholders to achieve the goals of talent development.
An important highlight of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) was the formalisation of collaboration agreements and memoranda of understanding between Sarawak Skills and its strategic partners. This step aims to synergise expertise and resources for talent development.
Hallman Sabri, Sarawak Skills executive director and chairman of the Federation of Malaysian Skills Development Centres (FMSDC), stressed the significance of these collaborations in advancing the Sarawak Post Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.
During the meeting, a new member, Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd, was welcomed, increasing the total number of Sarawak Skills members to 75. Additionally, a Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Shanton Mowe for his valuable contributions to Sarawak Skills’ teaching and learning ecosystem.
