ACCCIS delegates call on Indonesia minister

KUCHING: A delegation from the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sarawak (ACCCIS) paid a courtesy call on Indonesian Minister of Trade Dr Zulkifli Hasan and Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) chairman Eko Putro Sandjojo, in Jakarta recently.

The visit by a total of 45 delegates led by their president Datuk Tan Jit Kee was aimed at establishing a cordial relationship with their Indonesia counterparts as well as familiarising themselves with the several ministries and trade agencies.

“The delegates visited the 37th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) organised by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia from Oct 18 to 22.

“Through our visit to Jakarta, the delegation took the opportunity and visited the Ministry of Trade of Indonesia and Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN),” a statement from the ACCCIS said today.

Also present during the courtesy visits were Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Kuching Raden Sigit Witjaksono, Miri City Council (MCC) Mayor Adam Yii, and Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia Amb. Hermono.
