KUCHING: Hope Place recently visited Kampung Tringgus, Bau to distribute emergency assistance to villagers who are currently placed under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO).

A total of 183 families from three sub-villages in Kampung Tringgus received the aid.

The sub-villages are Kampung Tringgus Bong with 76 families, Kampung Tringgus Rabak Rotan (65) and Kampung Tringgus Matan Nguan (42).

The aid, which comprised of food supply, face masks, hand sanitisers and soaps, was handed over to Esa Nawon, an officer from the Bau District Social Welfare Office. It is then passed to personnel of the Civil Defence Force (APM) to be distributed to the affected households.

The EMCO was imposed in Kampung Tringgus on Mar 8 to 21 due to the increasing positive Covid-19 cases in the village.

Hope Place, in a statement today (Mar 16), extended its gratitude to Sarcargo Agencies Sdn Bhd for sponsoring a lorry to transport the aid to Bau.
