KUCHING: The two-way relationship in Islam, which is the relationship between Allah S.W.T. and humans, must be preserved, said Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali.

Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Office (Law, MA63, and State-Federal Relation) stated that if the two-way relationship can be maintained, not only can they live peacefully and harmoniously, but they can establish true unity among the ummah.

“I really hope that community will continue to make Islam the centre of their lives.

“Plus, Islam always prioritises success in life, whether in this world or the afterlife,” she said in her speech ahead of the launching ceremony of the Tilawah Al-Quran ceremony at Husnul Khatimah Darul Mosque yesterday (April 7).

She also urged the community to continue contributing for as long as they can, so that what they do can be considered good deeds.

“This world is just a temporary place for us, so as long as we live here, continue to do great things for everyone, as it would be counted as good deeds once we leave this earth and head to the afterlife,” she said.

Around 30 people from all walks of life participated in the programme, organised by the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Samariang constituency.

Elaborating, Sharifah Hasidah said that the programme is a great platform and opportunity for people to showcase their talent in reciting the Quran.

“Apart from making it a continuous daily life practise, it is also a way to appreciate and recognise them, along with being able to improve their self-esteem,” she added.
