TEBEDU: A total of RM7.8 million is allocated for the new agricultural road construction project from Kampung Kujang Sain to Kampung Daha Kisau.

Tebedu assemblyman Dr Simon Sinang Bada said this three-km agricultural road project will connect Kampung Kujang Sain, Kampung Daha Kisau and the surrounding areas.

He said the construction of the road is funded under the Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency (GKCDA).

“The agricultural road construction project is the main focus of the Tebedu Service Centre, ensuring that the idle lands can be utilised for commercial crops.

“These include oil palm, coffee plantations, pineapple orchards, pepper gardens, and other cash crops, thereby enhancing the socio-economic status and living standards of rural residents,” he said during a visit to the project site in Kampung Kujang Sain recently.

Dr Sinang also expressed appreciation to the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS)-led government under Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg for approving additional allocations through GKCDA for each constituency from 2024 to 2030.
