SERIAN: A total of 24 organisations from the Bukit Semuja constituency received Minor Rural Programme (MRP) funds amounting to RM120,000 from assemblyman John Ilus.
The recipients comprised associations and clubs from secondary schools, primary schools and the Sarawak State Government Office Club in Serian District.
John reminded organisations that are not successful in their bid to obtain the funds to be patient.
“To associations and clubs that have yet to receive the MRP funds, please be patient because your applications and details are stored in the constituency service centre database,” he said.
He was speaking during the MRP Series 2/2023 cheque handover ceremony at the Bukit Semuja service centre here, recently.
Meanwhile, John also reminded the MRP grant recipients to use the funds wisely.
At the same event, he also donated a set of golf clubs to the TOGAP Club of SMK Tebakang which is the only rural secondary school with a golf club.
