KUCHING: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan met with Singapore’s Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Low Yen Ling, on Tuesday (June 7).

Awang Tengah, who is also Minister for International Trade and Investment, discussed topics of common interest and possible collaborations, particularly on investment and trade, where Singapore is an important partner to Sarawak and also Singapore’s importance in global trade.

Also present during the visit was ministry advisor Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais, ministry acting permanent secretary Dzulkonain Masron and special functions officer Datuk Liaw Soon Eng.

The Singapore side included senior director (Asean & Southeast Asia and Oceania Division) Ho Chee Min, deputy director Melissa Lee, senior assistant director Koh Liang Wei and senior manager James Chia.
