ROCK legend Datuk Awie recently expressed his gratitude after reuniting with his son Putra Ahmad Rezzki, 15, and daughter Puteri Qasseh Antasha, 13, whom he has not met for eight years.

“I am so touched, and I want to thank my dearest wife, Datin Sharifah Ladyana Syed Samsuddin, for facilitating this wonderful reunion in the quiet.

My prayers have finally been answered during Hari Raya Aidil Adha,” said Awie in an interview with a media outlet recently.

The Wings vocalist recently uploaded some photos on his Facebook page that showed him happily posing with all of his children. In the photos, Awie was joined by Sharifah Ladyana and his ex-wife Rozana Misbun, the mother of Putra Ahmad Merrah, Putra Ahmad Rezzki and Putri Qasseh Antasha. “We’re so happy with the reunion that we all shed tears of joy.

I hope nobody brings up stories from the past about our family that might trouble my children,” he said. “I have long put negative things from the past behind me.
