KABONG: Educators are urged to be prepared for the constantly evolving nature of education.

In stating this, Kabong assemblyman Mohd Chee Kadir pointed out that education in the 21st century is full of uncertainty, unpredictability, and constant room for development.

“The learning process is no longer centred on acquiring knowledge alone, but is even more geared towards preparing to face different challenges in the future,” he said, as reported by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS).

He said this in his speech during the Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMk) Kabong Outstanding Student Appreciation 2022/2023 ceremony yesterday (Feb 3).

Having said that, he stated that the students now do not only go to school to learn but to be educated as the leaders of the country.

“As an assemblyman, I would work tirelessly to support and contribute to the development of Kabong’s infrastructure and educational institutions,” he pointed out.

As such, Chee Kadir gave a RM17,000 minor rural project (MRP) grant to the SMK Kabong Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) in order to support the school staff welfare fund, the student appreciation council’s contribution, and the repairing of the road in front of the school’s flats.
