BINTULU: Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB) celebrated diversity and joy by hosting an open house for Hari Raya Aidilfitri for various communities, including government agencies, the private sector, and its customers.
 
BPHB chief executive officer (CEO) Ruslan Abdul Ghani expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate the event with his staff and their families, port users, government agencies, media representatives, and local residents of diverse backgrounds, showcasing the unique way of celebrating the festival in the country.
 
He emphasised the significance of the event, as it was his first attendance as the newly appointed CEO of BPHB.
 
“I am excited to witness the cheerful atmosphere of the celebration. I hope this event will help foster closer ties and understanding among us regardless of race, religion, and cultural diversity,” he said.
 
He added that such an event indirectly promotes teamwork and collaboration, not only in the organisation but also in the community.
 
Ruslan also highlighted the advantages of working as a team, stating that collective commitment and showcasing strong work performance could benefit individuals and the company.
 
He, therefore, called upon all parties to work together to strengthen the bonds of cooperation.
 
Commenting on the open house, he said it served as a platform for them to interact with the community and customers, offering opportunities to strengthen their network and establish deeper relationships, forming one big family.
 
“In business, we are committed to achieving new heights. We have dedicated time to strategise and implement improvements to continue to excel,” he said.
 
Also present were Bintulu Development Authority deputy chairman Datuk Haidar Khan Asghar Khan, BPHB chief corporate services officer Maslihah Tioh, Bintulu deputy resident Abang Zainuddin Abang Turkey, Bintulu Port Authority CEO Mizool Amir Mat Drus, BPHB chief financial officer Daiana Luna Suip, Bintulu Port Sdn Bhd chief operating officer Matshalleh Mohamad Etli, Samalaju Industrial Port Sdn Bhd chief operating officer Eizam Ismail, and Biport Bulkers Sdn Bhd chief operating officer Wan Mohamad Zaidi Wan Kadir.
