KUCHING: Bubur Lambuk and Sumbangsih Ramadan Media Sarawak programme continued at the second location at Darul Hana Mosque, here today.

The programme is a continuation of the eight series that started last March 25 (Saturday) around the Metrocity area.

Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri was also present to officiate at the programme.

According to Nancy, the programme is a very good initiative involving the public to do good things together in the month of Ramadan.

“Through this effort, we can help the needy in terms of providing dry food including rice, sugar, salt and so on.

“Thus, we welcome more people to get involved and come forward to make donations or contributions, especially in this holy month,” she said when speaking at the programme.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Utility and Telecommunication (Utility) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, managing director of Liansin Trading Sdn Bhd Junaidi Ali and others were also among those present.

Dr Abdul Rahman in his speech said that the celebration of Ramadan in this state once again shows harmony and unity among the multi-racial and religious community.

“Although Ramadan is celebrated by Muslims, the side activities held in conjunction with this month are welcomed by all walks of life.

“It is clear that this multi-racial and unique state lives in peace and harmony,” he said.

This programme will continue on April 7 at a location to be determined later.

The programme was organised by the Federation of Sarawak Journalists Association (FSJA) and the Kuching Division Journalists Association (KDJA) in collaboration with Urusan Liansin Trading Sdn Bhd.
