Bukit Semuja rep presents rural projects worth RM610k

SERIAN: Bukit Semuja assemblyman John Ilus handed over several projects under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) for the constituency. 

Ilus said the three RTP projects to be implemented is amounting to RM610,000. 

He said these projects include the construction of a new Kampung Triboh football field pavilion with an allocation of RM230,000 and a project to build a new Kampung Bedup Longgo football field pavilion of the same amount. 

Both of these projects, he said, will be implemented for three months starting September to March 10, 2024, with the capacity of each pavilion to be able to accommodate about 200 people. 

Meanwhile, Ilus said the third project, the upgrading of SJK Chung Hua Serian Hall with an allocation of RM150,000 will take about four months to be completed from September until January 10, 2024. 

He expressed hope that the chosen contractors entrusted with these projects would adhere to the work specifications and the set timeframes.

“The implementing agency will also play a role by monitoring these projects from time to time to ensure their smooth progress,” he said. 

Also present were Public Works Department (PWD) Serian Division representatives, contractors and respective village heads.
