KUCHING: As part of Kuching Autistic Association (KAA) efforts to raise funds and enhance awareness as well as acceptance of the autism community, a charity run event themed ‘Bunny Autism Run 2023’ will be organised at MBKS foyer on April 30, 2023 (Sunday).
The run is divided into three kilometres and five kilometres of road running events.
For each distance, participants may sign up for any of the four categories, namely Category A (Medal + Tee + Bib), Category B (Tee + Bib only), Category C (Medal + Bib only) and Category D (Bib only).
The association revealed that the annual operating cost for KAA’s Centre is about RM 1.2 million.
“Although the students do pay fees, the fees collected amount to about 30 per cent of what is needed to run the centre.
“Annually, KAA needs to raise about RM750, 000 to provide services to the autism community,” the association said in a press release yesterday.
