Burst pipe in Miri affects residents

MIRI: Residents in Taman Tunku, Jalan Airport and Kampung Lusut will experience an unscheduled water supply disruption today (Dec 12) following a burst pipe this morning (Dec 12).

LAKU Management Sdn Bhd said the incident affected its 450mm diameter pumping mains along Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman which burst at 11.40am, due to a double air valve damage.

“Immediate repair works have commenced at the location and the repair works estimated to take about seven hours,” Laku said in a statement this afternoon.
