MUNICH: The latest round of industrial action of German carrier Lufthansa’s flight attendants has grounded flights at Munich Airport.

The action at Munich airport started at 4 am and was due to last until 11 pm.

The airline estimates that 400 flights will not be able to take off, with some 50,000 passengers to be affected.

Lufthansa cabin crew had already gone on strike at Frankfurt Airport on Tuesday. According to the carrier, 600 flights were cancelled there and around 70,000 passengers did not reach their destinations as planned. – BERNAMA-dpa
