KUCHING: A Chinese business delegation is currently here to help boost the state’s tourism efforts.

The entrepreneurs will work closely with local tourism officials to woo more tourists from overseas, especially from China.

Receiving the 17-member delegation at the Kuching International Airport (KIA) last Friday was SNB Global Group chairman Datuk Seri Donny Khiew.

Khiew, who has doing business in China for more than 10 years, said he would like to contribute what he learned from the Chinese to his home state Sarawak.

“I want everyone to know more about Sarawak instead of Sabah.

“Therefore, I would encourage businessmen in China to promote Sarawak to their friends and families as their first choice of travel destination,” he told reporters.

Yesterday, the group visited the office of Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) at Bukit Siol before having lunch with Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang.

The delegation will be in Kuching for four days until tomorrow before flying off to Miri on Dec 3.
