SARIKEI: An elderly man nearly passed out after he found himself locked in his own car at Jalan Jelutong Barat this afternoon (Mar 25).
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Sarikei station were despatched to the scene after receiving a public distress call around 12.50pm.
The 66-year-old was found semi-conscious in the car when the team arrived at the scene.
It took five minutes for the team to open the car door using a mini air bag and bring him out.
First aid was administered before he was taken to Sarikei Hospital for further treatment.
