KUCHING: Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg is encouraging foreign innovators and experts to share their expertise and new ideas with Sarawak to produce hydrogen at a cheaper price.

The Premier said his government welcomes any experts and innovators to come over to Sarawak and present their perspective and knowledge on hydrogen production.

“If you have certain new ideas on how to produce hydrogen at an affordable cost, please come over … let us produce that hydrogen,” he said.

He also said they are welcome to the state to exchange views in technology and “move together for the benefit of the world and mankind”.

“As we are facing world crisis on climate change, I hope we can find technology that will cool the world and mitigate the emission of carbon,” he said.

He was speaking during the 27th World Congress on Innovation and Technology (WCIT) and the 6th International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak (IDECS) gala dinner at Pullman Hotel here last night (Oct 5).

“And perhaps with their finding, we can conserve the world richest rainforest in Sarawak,” he said.
