SIBU: The completion of roads in the central region is expected to increase the demand for houses in Sibu. According to Housing and Public Health Assistant Minister Dr Annuar Rapa’ee, once the roads across the central region are completed from Kapit-Song-Kanowit-and from all coastal areas like Mukah, Belawai, Tanjung Manis and Sarikei with the next four or five years, they are expected to increase the demand for houses in Sibu.

“I’m sure people who live and work in small areas will probably want to live in Sibu. “And it will cause increase of demand for houses in Sibu. Thus, I think SHEDA should be well prepared for that booming of demand for housing in Sibu,” Dr Annuar said. He said this at the opening of Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Devoloper Association (SHEDA)sectorProperty Roadshow 2018 held at Wisma Sanyan ground floor starting from Friday till Sunday.

Dr Annuar therefore hoped that SHEDA could work together with the state government. With the good relationship between SHEDA and the state government, Dr Annuar believed that the association would able to overcome problems in providing affodable houses in Sarawak.
