Cops on the hunt for road bully

KUCHING: Police are looking for a road bully who rode his motorcycle recklessly and provoked road users on Saturday (Feb 25).

The incident, believed to have taken place along Jalan Tabuan Tranquility, went viral after a 2.59-minute video clip was uploaded to Facebook.

The clip shows a man riding his motorcycle with a registration plate QAB649B. The rider was not wearing a helmet and riding in a reckless and dangerous manner.

Kuching police chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah said the incident is believed to have happened around 3.10pm.

“The suspect was riding dangerously and against the flow of traffic as well as provoking road users.

“However, to date, we have yet to receive any police report related to the incident,” he said.

Ahsmon urged the public with information on the rider to go to the nearest police station.

The case is being investigated under Section 42 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving or riding.
