MIRI: Miri City Council (MCC) is offering a 50 per cent discount on outstanding parking fees during the ‘Pay Your Parking Compound’ amnesty campaign.
Mayor Adam Yii said the campaign will be in effect from August 1 to December 31 in conjunction with the 18th Anniversary of Miri City Day and Miri May Fest 2023.
“The public may check their outstanding parking fees through the MCC website at www.miricouncil.gov.my or via Borneo Parking Systems Sdn Bhd website at www.borneoparking.com as well as the “Borneo Park Miri” application,” he said in a statement on Monday (July 31).
Yii said the public is encouraged to make the payment using the ‘Borneo Park Miri’ app.
“The app is available for download on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The aforesaid app is available to Huawei phone users that are using the Android Operating System except those on the Harmony Operating System.
“Huawei Phone users with the Harmony Operating System can pay their outstanding compound at any parking booth in Miri City.
“Alternatively, payment can be made through Credit Card, Debit Card, Sarawak Pay Global, Boost eWallet Malaysia and many more options,” he said.
Meanwhile, on assessment bills, Yii said in line with the Miri Smart City Initiatives, the council will cease delivering physical assessment bills from the year 2024 onwards.
As such, he advised ratepayers to register for E-Biling and update their details such as handphone number, email address and correspondence address with the Rating and Valuation Department.
“This is to ensure all assessment rates, notices and letters reach the ratepayers,” he said.
Yii advised ratepayers to make their payments online via S Pay Global apps, the Service Sarawak website and apps, and the Pay Bills Malaysia website.
“The payment methods are at your fingertips to avoid the inconvenience of queuing at the counter,” he said.
