KAPIT :Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development, Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi who is also the Member of Parliament for Kapit and Bukit Goram State Assemblyman, Jefferson Jamit Unyat declared open a new eating outlet, Sing Ming Hua located behind Maybank here, yesterday morning.
Present were Kapit Resident, Joseph Belayong Punan, Kapit District Officer, Elvis Didit, Chinese community leaders, namely, Temenggong Tan Kian Ho, Pemanca Yong Thu Fook, Penghulu Sia Shui Poh, Kapitan Kong Cheak Hie, Chairman of Sarawak Dayak Iban Association (SADIA) Kapit branch, Edward Manggah Kendawang, Nanta’s Special Affairs Officer, Ambrose Abong Bugek and Councillor George Tang.
The food outlet, Sing Ming Hua, sells “Laksa”, the famous “kampua” noodles and meat balls prepared by the proprietor identified as Wong who used to operate at a corner shop lot at the new Bazaar Kapit.
