KUCHING: The establishment of the INTI Education Counselling Centre Sarawak will aid local students here to determine their educational pathways that will take them to the next level.

“With the establishment of the centre, local students and their parents can obtain specific information about the programmes available from this centre,” he said during the launching of the centre at Galacity here on Tuesday (Jan 17).

“Moreover, I believe the centre can also act as a point of contact and support for students and alumni who are living or working in Sarawak.

“By working together, our ministry and INTI can achieve great things to create opportunities and a brighter future for everyone.

Sagah said INTI International University and Colleges is no stranger to the education industry as it has years of providing educational excellence and is one of Malaysia’s most recognised higher learning institutions.

He stated that INTI offers globally recognised programmes, cost-effective routes to attain degrees locally as well as overseas in collaboration with highly acclaimed universities around the world.

“As an institution of higher learning, it has the increasingly challenging task of making sure students are work ready – skilled, resourceful, and competent to drive the country’s economic growth.

Sagah explained that to achieve such a goal, his ministry’s initiative include providing good quality education, improving training programmes, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, and supporting the professional development of individuals in the region.

“Through these efforts, Sarawak hopes to increase professional expertise, efficiency and productivity to drive public and private sector development to support economic growth, as well as to create job opportunities for our local people and assist the achievement of other aspirations such as social and cultural development.

“Therefore, I would like to encourage the schools and teachers here in Sarawak to take this opportunity to foster a good relationship with INTI for the sake of our student’s future.

“I am excited to see the positive impact that INTI International University and Colleges will have on the development of education and talent in Sarawak as the possibilities are endless.”
