SINGAPORE: Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability of Sarawak Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni recently attended the ongoing Asian Downstream Summit (ADS) Asian Refining Technology Conference (ART) 2023.

Both events, being held in conjunction with the Singapore International Energy Week 2023, are currently taking place from Oct 25 to 27 in Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre Singapore where Dr Hazland is among the panelists for ADS 2023.

“The discussion focused on how ASEAN policymakers and regulators support the acceptance of Carbon Capture, Use and Storage (CCUS), along with best practices for the region’s downstream sectors.

“Topics include a roadmap to reach Net Zero by 2050, the importance of investment for technology, the importance of public private partnerships in accelerating growth, and the identification and resolution of regional challenges to its development,” he said in a statement recently.

The Singapore International Week 2023 is an annual platform for energy professionals, policymakers, and commentators to share best practices and solutions within the global energy space.
