KUCHING: Bangladesh is ready to supply skilled workers to Sarawak.

The High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Malaysia MD Golam Sarwar said the Sarawak government is open to hiring workers from Bangladesh to support the state’s ongoing development agenda state.

“The Sarawak government has assured us of their support in all forms of cooperation, particularly in hiring skilled workers from Bangladesh, to contribute to the rapid development here,” he said.

He made these remarks after paying a courtesy call on Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here, today.

Golam said Bangladesh has skilled labour, such as engineers, who can assist Sarawak in achieving the aspirations of the Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.
