BINTANGOR: A number of developments are currently being planned for Meradong under the Rajang Delta Development Agency (RADDA).

Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing, as quoted by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), said among the proposals is to upgrade the main road of Bandar Bintangor leading to Sungai Narasit and Sungai Tulai, as well as the construction of a trading centre in Bandar Bintangor.

He added that plans are also being made to build the Bintangor Waterfront and Bintangor Swimming Pool, both of which have been approved by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

“I hope that the locals will always be aware of the infrastructure development in Meradong and that these projects will improve the economy in Bintangor in the future,” he said at the 2023 Chinese New Year Dinner organised by the Bintangor Chinese Chambers of Commerce here last night (Feb 18).

Meanwhile, Penghulu Hwang Tiong Keng, who spoke on behalf of the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii, said he would cooperate with Ding to push various infrastructure developments in Bintangor such as schools, churches, and many more.
