KUCHING: The soundtrack for TVS’ Mandarin film ‘Missing You’ is now available in over 190 countries on major music streaming platforms.

Under Sarawakian composer Andrew Bong’s privately owned music label, Laundry Music, the soundtrack features more than 45 minutes of music to serenade the listener.

The Ventura Interactive Sdn Bhd chief executive officer said that the project is very personal to him as many of the scenes and food featured in the film reflected his upbringing.

“I want to give respect, explore the narrative, and reciprocate with a new musical palette.

“Hopefully, the soundtrack will touch many people, reminding them to hold and cherish their dear ones,” he said in a statement today.

‘Missing You’, premiered on TVS last December, was directed by Jimz Lee together with co-director  Eean Khoo. The film was produced by a local Sarawak production house, The Dream Film Production Sdn. Bhd whereby David Lim is the producer.

The film highlights the story of a Singaporean digital influencer ‘Ah Ren’, starring Singaporean actor Benjamin Josiah Tan, who is traveling to Sarawak in search of his long-lost sister, with little fragments of his memories and a taste familiar to him, guiding him, from a well-known local noodle dish ‘kolo mee’.

It also features a caring Sarawakian tour guide ‘Ah Mei’, starring Sarawakian actress, singer, and talent Riona Chung.

Meanwhile, the Dream Film Production will be collaborating with Ventura Interactive, again for Jimz Lee’s next feature film, “You Are My Son,” supported by FINAS Malaysia.

The film will be starring award-winning Malaysian actress and singer-songwriter Yise Lo and is set to release in 2025.
