Dr Yii appointed health minister’s special advisor

KUCHING: Bandar Kuching Member of Parliament (MP) Dr Kelvin Yii has been appointed as a special advisor to Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa.
 
As a medical practitioner and two-term MP, Dr Yii brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
 
According to a news report by Free Malaysia Today (FMT), the appointment date has not been disclosed.
 
Dr Yii, who previously chaired the parliamentary committee on health, has confirmed his appointment, saying that he will be advising the health minister on health reforms and policies.
 
In a Facebook post, Dr Yii, who is also the Democratic Action Party (DAP) Youth chief, emphasised his commitment to working alongside the minister and the health ministry to improve healthcare in the country.
 
This new development is expected to enhance the ministry’s capacity to deliver on its mandate and improve the overall health sector.
 
Dr Yii’s expertise will be crucial in driving reforms and policies that will benefit the people of Malaysia.
