SIBU: A 56-year-old man was lucky to have escaped with minor injuries after his 4WD vehicle swerved and crashed at the side of the road heading towards Kompleks Islam, here yesterday.
The state Fire and Rescue Operations Centre (Bomba) was alerted to the accident at 10.21 pm.
Firemen from Sibu Sentral fire station, who were deployed to the scene, found the man in the driver’s seat.
The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to overturn.
Bomba personnel who confirmed the man suffered minor injuries had to extricate him from the vehicle.
The man, identified as Ding Pang Seng, was taken to Sibu Hospital for treatment.
