SIBU: A man sustained minor injuries in a weird crash at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman road here on Wednesday.
Sibu district police chief, ACP Zulkipli Suhaili in a statement yesterday said that the 59-year-old man was heading towards the town centre from the Sibu Airport before the accident happened around 5.15 pm.
“The 4WD Toyota Fortuner is believed to have lost control and veered to the left of the road before ramming into a tree.
“The accident caused the victim to suffer minor injuries; however, he is now in stable condition and currently undergoing treatment at Sibu Hospital,” he said.
The police are investigating the case under LN166/59 Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959 for failing to control your vehicle’s movements well.
“The police advise people to drive carefully in order to keep themselves and others safe,” said Zulkipli.
